Odoo go-live readiness checklist for business and technical teams
Odoo go-live readiness covers data, controls, integrations, permissions, training, infrastructure, support, reconciliation, and business continuity.
A project can be mostly configured and still be unready for production. Readiness should be decided through named evidence across business and technical areas, not through a general feeling that testing went well. Confirm business acceptance Critical scenarios must pass with process-owner sign-off. Known issues need severity, workaround, owner, and target date. High-risk unresolved decisions should be visible to the go-live authority. Verify production conditions Check users, permissions, mail, domains, certificates, backups, monitoring, scheduled actions, integrations, document sequences, printers, scanners, and performance using the production design. Approve data and cutover Complete rehearsal evidence, final mappings, import order, cut-off timing, control totals, exception process, and rollback criteria. Each reconciliation area needs a named approver. Prepare operational support Publish contacts, triage rules, escalation, response expectations, daily review times, and issue logging. Protect key project people from being assigned unrelated work during launch. Practical checklist Obtain evidence-based sign-off for critical processes. Review known issues, workarounds, severity, and ownership. Test production integrations, permissions, jobs, and infrastructure. Approve cutover, reconciliation, backup, and rollback plans. Staff first-week support and daily operational reviews. Final decision Go live when remaining risks are understood and manageable, not simply because the planned date has arrived. A short delay is cheaper than launching with an unexplained financial or operational position.
